Message from the Captain!

I'm writing to you from my favorite place on earth, the deck of my houseboat on gorgeous Lake Lanier. I hope you are all enjoying the warm weather and have had a chance to enjoy the lake, as well. It sure feels good to be back out here. You know,

I'll be the first to admit that writing these emails has not always been easy over the past couple of years, but lately it feels like old times.

When we opened The Houseboat Store back in 2005, our intent was to provide a service we felt the Lanier community lacked, an honest and hard working resource for all your boating needs. Having dealt with some of the local sharks myself, I was determined to do things better. That's why we are so committed to putting our customers first. Customer service will always be the cornerstone of our long-term business plan. We know that by treating folks right today, we will have a better chance of serving them in the future. Plus, it just feels good.

Recently, a friend asked me if I thought he should sell his boat. He enjoys boating and really loves this houseboat, but just can't find the time anymore. I told him what I tell everyone, if you don't have time for your boat, then this is the time to sell. Why wait? Your boat will just continue to age and lose value.
